Mammoth Cave half-honcho Paul Lawton takes a sharp pirouette from the psy-fi garage-punk of his previous projects (Myelin Sheaths, Endangered Ape) and plunges into granular, anthemic pop with Radians. Both Iran, a certified hit with it's canticlismic chanting and blown-out bass solo, and Bad People show a healthier side to Paul's apocalyptic anchor; hiding beneath the layers of southern grizzle is the perfect pop outlet, and it's finally landing on doorsteps care-of the Mammoth Cave. A++++ will bid again.
