Side A crams in sexy sax and guitar scorch on the title track of the year plus a straight-played cover of Edwyn Collins’ post-Orange Juice confectionary “A Girl Like You”. The flipside sails back to Alien Lake with the melancholic “Teenage” and a spotlighted solo piano before the curtain drops.
