From the cyber stripes of Taylor Burgess:
Smoki Tygr (a.k.a. Smoky Tiger) was sent on a mission to follow the gospel of our holy prophets and save the rest of Manitoba, the prairies, and possibly North America. Meanwhile, he’s fighting with copyright laws for the good and entertainment of the common person, leading an ornery crowd in a sing-a-long and making them roll around in laughter, incapacitated. Finally, after a long bout of crime fighting, at some drinking establishment or art space, he sings our Canadiana lessons. Yes, ‘tis nothing but a peaceful day here in the greater Manitoba area, thanks to Smoki Tygr and his robotic companion.

Smoki Tygr (alias Smoky Tiger) fut envoyé en mission pour suivre le gospel de nos prophètes sacrés et sauver le reste du Manitoba, les prairies et possiblement l’Amérique de Nord. Pendant ce temps, il se bat avec les lois de droits d’auteur pour le bien et le divertissement de la personne commune, menant une foule entêté dans un chant à répondre et les faisant se rouler à terre à force de rire, impuissant. Finalement, après une longue période à combattre le crime, à quelconque établissement de boisson ou espace d’art, il chante nos leçons Canadiennes. Oui, c’est rien de plus qu’une journée paisible ici dans la grande région du Manitoba, merci à Smoki Tygr et son companion robotique.

Taking the (already) incredibly strange anthem to desolation made non-famous by The Residents, Phil Console’s take on Loneliness is a time dialated haze of warbled bummertude. The video’s wave of VHS-static masking Phil’s prophetic dancing brings a whole new level of melancholy to the already barren emotional wasteland. RAD.
