From the nostalgic words of Aaron Levin:
They're young. Most of The Neighbourhood Council (now called BRAIDS) were in high-school when this album was recorded live-to-air on CJSW in Calgary. An amazing feat considering three out of the five tracks are over 7 minutes long. They're long, but the least bit boring or repetitive. The songs weave, transform, and flow in a brilliant, sometimes experimental, fashion. It's a mellow ride, so get comfy as you'll quickly arrive at the kind of pop album you wish you could be making now, let alone when you were 17 years old and watching Japanese animation in your parents basement (true story). The Neighbourhood Council became BRAIDS sometime this year and will be conducting a mass exodus to Montreal. I'm posting the two shorter tracks, but they'll give you the right idea.

Ils sont jeunes. La majorité de The Neighbourhood Council (maintenant appelé BRAIDS) était à l’école secondaire quand cet album fût enregistré à l’écoute sur CJSW dans Calgary. Un exploit stupéfiant étant donné que trois des cinq pistes durent plus de 7 minutes. Elles sont longues, mais loin d’être ennuyantes ou répétitives. Les chansons s’enlacent, se transforment et glissent d’une façon brillante, quelque fois expérimentale. C’est une douce promenade, alors installez-vous confortablement pendant que vous arriverez rapidement au genre d’album pop que vous souhaitez que vous pourriez être entrain de faire maintenant, pas quand vous aviez 17 ans et que vous regardiez des dessins animés japonais au sous-sol de vos parents (histoire vraie). The Neighbourhood Council devint BRAIDS à un moment cette année et va conduire un exode de masse vers Montréal. Je publie les deux pistes les plus courtes, mais elles vous donneront la bonne idée.
