If you often find yourself saying, “Hey, I love this music, and I am in/know a tonne of bands. I’d like to see some of the bands that I only see in basements get out and play for more people because it will be a really nice night filled with friends and musicking and dance-partying and everything else,” then it may be time for you to get in the canoe and go for it.
Think of this as one of those diagrams about how to do a J-stroke that are posted at the place where you pick up the canoe. Like those, these five points will help you cooperate like a champion. This is important, because you will be working with a lot of different people, and coordinating a lot of different variables, and you’ll be required to delegate and communicate clearly and efficiently. If these processes are refined to a near-telepathic precision, they can grant your show booking process the graceful elegance of a smooth journey over calm waters.
